Volunteer Spotlight – Don, Rose, and Mary Hodgson
In the spring of 2011 a representative from Gladden provided an overview of the services we provide to members of the Social Action Committee at St. Brigid’s of Kildare in Dublin. The Hodgson family, longtime members of the church, heard the speech and wanted to support the work we do in the Franklinton neighborhood. Each Monday since then, this family has used t heir time and vehicles to lend a hand to those facing food insecurity within our community.
When asked why they continued to volunteer for so long, Rose responded on her family’s behalf, “It was something worthwhile to do with our time. We enjoyed talking to all the people from the pantry. We were just glad to be of service.”
We at Gladden are thankful to have the support of generous volunteers like Don, Rose, and Mary Hodgson! Thank you for your years of service to our organization!
